The Showroom
The Showroom is closed while the crate drop is running.
That means there is currently no way to add an aircraft to your hangar. A crate is an on-chain collectible and redeeming one in game is not built yet, so buying one does not open the shelf by another route. You fly what you started with until the Showroom reopens.
Two shops selling the same five airframes at the same time is a broken promise in both directions. A crate is only a gamble worth taking if its contents are not also sitting on a shelf, and a shelf price is a lie if a crate undercuts it. So the shelf is shut while the drop is on.
Recruits are shut with it. Pilots have nothing to do with the drop, but a room that is closed except for one shelf reads as broken rather than deliberate.
The room is closed on the server, not just in the panel. It is not a hidden button.
What happens next
When the drop is done, this room reopens as a market: a board for aircraft other pilots are selling, not a first-hand shop. Airframes will come from other players and from crates, and the price will be whatever somebody will pay.
What it used to sell, and what that tells you
The old shelf priced everything twice, in gems and in points plus materials. That rule survives the closure and still governs everything sold anywhere in the game: gems skip the grind, they never open a gate the grind cannot. There is no aircraft, pilot or card that only money can reach.
Balance is a rule, not a promise
Every airframe is held to a 40 to 60 per cent win rate in an automated round-robin, and a build that falls outside that band fails before it ships.
So a rarer airframe is not a stronger one. That holds for crates exactly as it held for the shelf: a Ghost is scarce, not superior, and the hardest opponent in the game was never weakened to make room for it.
