Your wallet
SORTIE uses a wallet as your account. Sign in from any device holding it and you reach the same hangar. There is no password, and no progress trapped in one browser.
The network
SORTIE runs on Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum layer two. Fees are small and confirmations are quick.
| Network | Robinhood Chain |
| Chain id | 4663 |
| Currency | ETH |
| Explorer | robinhoodchain.blockscout.com |
The enlistment screen adds the network to your wallet for you, so there is nothing to copy by hand.
What you need
An EVM wallet such as MetaMask, and a little ETH on Robinhood Chain for the things that cost money.
Signing in is free. It costs no gas, moves nothing, and authorizes no transaction.
What actually touches the chain
| On chain? | |
|---|---|
| Signing in | No, free and off-chain |
| Your base, resources and progress | No, held on our servers |
| Gems | You pay on chain; the balance sits on your account |
| Airframe NFTs | Yes: minting, ownership and trading |
Most of the game costs nothing and needs no transaction. The chain is for the things that should be genuinely yours.
Linking, and what it means
Connecting shows an address. Linking proves it, with a signature over a one-time message.
Only a linked wallet can pay, because a payment has to be credited to somebody and an unproved address is only a claim. You can unlink and link a different wallet at any time.
If something goes wrong
The network will not add. Some networks intercept the chain's own domains and redirect them to a filter page. If your wallet refuses to add the network, or transactions never confirm, that is the likely cause, and a VPN is the usual workaround.
A payment did not appear. Payments are credited from the receipt on chain, not from your browser, so a confirmed transaction is safe even if you closed the page. Retrying is safe: a receipt can only ever be credited once.
The wrong account is showing. Check which wallet is selected in your extension. The hangar follows the wallet, and signing in on a new device moves the account there.
Keep your keys
Your account is anchored to your wallet, so whoever controls the wallet controls the hangar. Your seed phrase is yours alone, and nobody from SORTIE will ever ask for it.
